Motor Fleet Underwriter

Our client, one of the UK's most well regarded Insurance companies are seeking an experienced Insurance professional to join them in an underwriting capacity in the Cardiff area.

You will come from a company background and will currently be underwriting fleet risks. Ideally you will also have made some progress towards ACII qualifications. Without fleet experience specifically, you will have experience of underwriting personal lines motor insurance.

The main duties associated with the role will be:

The analysis, assessment and underwriting of more complex  new and existing risks
The review of renewal terms for existing business dealing with all forms of verbal and written enquiries from the Agency network
The development of strong business relationships with Operations colleagues and Agents
The issue of New Business and mid term alteration documentation coaching and development of less experienced team members
The provision of technical support to our Key Client customers occasional field visits the compliance with FSA guidelines and responsibilities

Has a sound insurance background with underwriting experience Has excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrates the desire to learn, both through internal self development and through relevant professional insurance qualifications
