Salary: £46,000 - £60,000


As the Area Manager within in one of the Largest UK Insurers you will be key to the
development and maintenance of the area relationship management function. Our client will be looking to you to maximise income and profit for all brokers.

Responsibilities:

Manage a team of account managers and development underwriters
Prepare development and marketing input for annual business plans for Area Individual target setting for account managers and development underwriters to deliver plan
Management responsibility for key brokers working on strategic issues with broker management
Responsible for personal development of account managers and sales co-ordinators including technical and management skills development
Interpretation of broker feedback and driving forward customer service
Responsible for design, implementation and review of Area strategic development plan.

Skills

ACII or progression towards would be beneficial
Management of staff and broker relationships
Proven successful track record of profitable business development
Significant experience in a business development role and solid experience in a senior one
Knowledge of market and trends
Excellent influencing and consultancy skills
Previous experience of working within a commercial insurance environment and Commercial Underwriting essential
Experience of managing a team
Experience of business planning
