Insurance Technician / Account Handler

Our client a national insurance broker is looking for an insurance technician / account handler dealing with general commercial insurance policies. You will assist the Corporate and Commercial teams and office colleagues in providing an efficient, high quality added value, day to day service, in order to retain a portfolio of clients.
You will acquire a working understanding of operational procedures and knowledge of the insurance market and commercial product lines so as to enable performance of the technical and administrative functions of the role.
You will help in producing placing, cover summary, renewal and supporting documentation in line with the corporate and mid corporate client service processes.
Handling invoicing of premiums due, but under the supervision or guidance of others.
Checking policy documentation for accuracy and compiling letters to send to clients..
To take and action instructions relating to the provision of cover, but under the supervision or guidance of others.
To ensure all communications are accurately recorded against client records.
Ensure company procedures are followed, in order to adhere with both quality standards and compliance regulation, in accordance with their authority.
To have a positive attitude to learning and training opportunities being provided in order to develop technical knowledge and skills, including organising and maintaining a detailed log of all training services provided.
To follow up on Tasks (outstanding issues) as allocated, to include ensuring documents are issued within contract certainty deadlines
