Role Purpose

From within an Agency Office, sell general insurance products and introduce the company financial services, risk management, finance products and services in a compliant and customer focussed manner.

To contribute to achievement of Agency Sales and other objectives and targets

Key Accountability 

Sales from within the office:

Sell and prospect general insurance in accordance with sales targets.

Introduce financial service leads to Financial Consultants in accordance with sales plans.

Cross sell products and services.

Conduct renewal reviews with customers.

To offer all the above via telephone based sales

Compliance:

Sales carried out in accordance with FSA sales process.

Achieve and maintain competency in accordance with the Agents Licensing programme.

Follow compliant office systems and procedures.

Administration:

Process customer documentation in accordance with compliance rules.

Collect insurance premiums in accordance with premium collection systems and procedures.

Claims:

Handle claims in accordance with the claims process.

Customer Service:

Deal with general queries from customers relating to insurance sales via telephone.

Develop customer relationships.

 

Experience

Experience of meeting customer needs.

Experience of telephone based sales

Skills & Competencies

Technical Competencies:  Selling, Customer Service and Claims.

Ability to identify to understand and prioritise customer needs to deliver a high standard of advice and service.

Ability to work with others in developing existing and new business.

Ability to prioritise effectively.

Ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues

Qualifications

5 GCSEs grade C or above, including Maths and English.

Ideally be prepared to work towards ACII Advanced Diploma

Other

Up to date knowledge of FSA compliance framework.

Knowledge of market conditions and competitor activity.

Aspects which can be developed once in role

Licensed to sell Groups insurance product ranges and thorough knowledge of Group sales process.

Knowledge of office systems and procedures.
