Senior Commercial Account Broker - Kent - up to £35,000 plus benefits
Our client is actively seeking a professional commercial insurance candidate to handle the servicing needs, including renewals and claims, of allocated clients within defined authority limits.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
A thorough understanding of the business needs of allocated clients.
A thorough understanding of the policy wordings necessary to service allocated clients.
A thorough understanding of the insurance broking system for maintenance and updating of client records.
The ability to negotiate effectively.
A thorough understanding of the insurance market.
The ability to supervise, motivate, control and develop staff.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensure efficient and technically competent handling of policy, renewal and claims needs for clients to standards/deadlines defined in Gravesend Procedures Manual.
Refer work beyond own authority to Operations Director/Account Director with recommendations.
Maintain up to date knowledge of applicable policy covers, claims handling procedures/techniques and market awareness.
Recognise and refer to Account Director/New Business Director opportunities for new business/sales.
Develop own technical awareness and professionalism.
