In 2002, our client acquired two highly successful specialist insurance providers which nationally serviced the Education and Care sectors which now form a separate division of the business.
These two specialist insurance providers have continued to go from strength to strength, largely as a result of the close working relationships forged with clients and the insurance companies with which risks are placed.
Our client are now looking to take on a Commercial Broker to provide support to Account executives for the management and retention of their premier clients.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Collate and prepare underwriting information and market presentations/ensure subsequent accuracy of documentation
- Deal effectively with Client requests including changes in cover and risks
- Produce and maintain in good order a Register of Insurances for own client allocation
- Follow compliance and internal procedures
- Take a pro-active approach in identifying Client needs and objectives
- Maintain and develop an up to date technical knowledge appropriate to Client base
- Prepare market presentation in liaison with Commercial Brokers / Account Executives
- Assist in preparation of Renewal Reports as required
- Prepare reports on specific projects and present to client where required
- Participate in new business initiatives as appropriate in a client advisory capacity
- Attend client and insurer review meetings, presentations and surveys as required
Experience:
- Good communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
- IT literate with a good working knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel & Outlook applications.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Commercial Insurance
- Effective negotiator with both internal and external customers
- Working towards ACII
