Job Outline
Understand existing Client business risks and their approach to insurance and to administer insurance programmes designed for the protection of the material assets and liabilities of clients ensuring their effective operation.
Provide day-to-day servicing and administration of allocated Client's insurance programmes in a timely, technically accurate and cost effective manner, in accordance with the division's Procedures & Performance Standards.
Maintain, and achieve growth in, income from existing clients and seek new business for the Company in line with company targets.
Giving instructions to insurance providers
Checking policy documents (including endorsements) for accuracy prior to receipt by clients.
Handle the invoicing of premiums due, maintaining effective credit control in respect of allocated clients.
Process correspondence, renewals, pre-renewal activity, quotations and computer input.
Ensuring that all post and diary activity is completed on a daily basis
Manage own files as per Procedures Manual.
Knowledge Required
Knowledge and understanding of FSA rules and guidelines relating to customers.
Knowledge of Company's Performance and Procedures standards.
Knowledge of general insurance and underlying legal principles.
Knowledge and understanding of a broad range of markets and Commercial Policy types and classes.
Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of insurance, claims and related issues through formal and informal learning, both internal to the firm and externally.
