Senior Property Underwriter
Location: Sutton
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
As a Senior Property underwriter for one of the UK leading organisations you will be looking to provide underwriting expertise within the customer segment(s) and geographical area with a total GWP in excess of £250m. This will require working closely with Technical Underwriting centrally and regionally, the local Underwriting team and brokers to support delivery of business plans going forward.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to achieving business targets for customer segments and Geographical area
Monitor and analyse performance
Identify and participate in driving through change
Support the business on key customers, brokers & cases
Uphold and monitor FSA standards and principles
Participate in Technical Underwriting Reviews and Audits
Identify technical and non technical needs, facilitate training programmes, ensure coaches and mentors in place
Participate in projects as determined by business requirements
Provide support for referrals
Skills:
Professionally qualified (or progression) to at least ACII standard
Typically to a degree standard or equivalent
Good understanding of General Insurance underwriting principles
Extensive Commercial Insurance underwriting experience
IT Literate
Highly numerate
Strong level of financial and business awareness
