Senior Underwriter Casualty
Location: Sutton
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Benefits
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Casualty Underwriter to join one of the UK top Insurance organisations. You will be required to provide underwriting expertise within the geographical area with a total GWP in excess of £250m.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to achieving business targets for the geographical area
Identify and participate in driving through change
Support the business on key customers, brokers & cases
Participate in Technical Underwriting Reviews and Audits
Identify technical and non technical needs, facilitate training programmes, ensure coaches and mentors in place
Participate in projects as determined by business requirements
Provide support for referrals
Implement and assist in developing underwriting strategy for area of specialism
Provide technical assistance to support product and proposition development
Act as a source of underwriting knowledge
Skills:
Technical Skills (qualifications and job related)
Professionally qualified (or progression) to at least ACII standard
Typically to a degree standard or equivalent
Good understanding of underwriting principles
Extensive Casualty underwriting experience
IT Literate
Highly numerate
Strong level of financial and business awareness
