Position: High Net Worth Private Client Solicitor
Location: Somerset
Salary: To £60,000 Benefits
This growing Legal 500 firm are looking to add a High Net Worth Private Client Solicitor to join their team and assist with pushing the department forward and developing the stature of the company further.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To manage and develop further an existing client base of High Net Worth clients
To lead and develop a team of support staff
To lead by example by promoting and cross marketing the company
Provide high quality legal advise to clients
Will drafting and inheritance tax planning
Estate administration
Lasting powers of attorney
Court of protection and Deputyship applications
Issues affecting the elderly
Trust law and administration
Particular specialism which would be of interest include
IHT, CGT and other personal tax planning
Lifetime settlements
Trust law and administration including for disabled beneficiaries/personal injury compensation trusts
Continuing care claims
Memberships of the following will be encouraged:
STEP
Probate Section of the Law Society
Solicitors for the Elderly
Skills:
Ability to advise clients on contentious and non-contentious matters
Detailed knowledge of Taxation, Wills and probate laws is highly desirable
A varied skill set that should include a high level of communication (both written and verbal), negotiation and IT Skills
Candidates should be able to show the ability to meet and exceed client and referrer expectations and to maintain and develop long-term client and referrer relationships
