Our client, a leading legal 500 firm are looking to add an established Employment Partner to their team in the South West to assist further with the development and growth of the employment department of the firm.
With a growing reputation for high quality advice and excellent leadership the department already has a proficient team in place and are looking to develop the department further with this Key appointment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide leadership to a team of Employment Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, Paralegals and Support Staff
To provide high quality advice to individuals and corporate clients on employment matters, including unfair dismissals, redundancies, discrimination, contractual breaches, compromise agreements and any other employment and HR related matters
Liaise with partners across the firms offices nationwide to develop contacts and increase cross marketing across the firm
Take a keen interest / lead in marketing the firms employment offering to commercial clients and private clients
Manage a personal caseload of contentious and non-contentious cases
Attend Employment Tribunals / court as required
Skills:
Ideally you will have a good academic record, together with typically 7 years post qualification experience within employment law would be beneficial
Experience will be gained within a strong commercial practice and encompass good exposure to a wide range of contentious and non-contentious issues
You will be an independent thinker and confident communicator with an ability to develop / influence relationships at all levels
With high level knowledge of Employment and HR issues
