Senior Finance Business Partner (CFO - Lloyd's Business Unit)

A global Insurance business with consistently high credit ratings and offers a wide range of commercial products through its insurance company and specialist covers via its Lloyd’s syndicate has created an exciting new opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join its London operation as its Senior Finance Business Partner (CFO – Lloyd’s Business Unit) reporting directly to the Lloyd’s Underwriting Director and the European CFO.
This stand alone role has been created to support the Lloyd’s Underwriting Director in the running of the Lloyd’s business unit, with financial input into all aspects of the business, working closely with the Lloyd’s Chief Actuary, to act as the key finance representative on major projects that cut across all European operations and have a significant financial component, initially Solvency 2 and to have an input into all key strategic and operating decisions. Additional responsibilities will include preparation of monthly financial analysis and commentary on the unit’s results and developing appropriate presentation thereof for the monthly operating reviews with the parent, developing the Lloyd’s business unit’s management information and financial and operational control framework, establishing close working relationships with the five Lloyd’s Underwriting team heads and to ensure they have the relevant financial and management information required to support their operations and to take a leading role in the Solvency 2 project team.
Applicants must be qualified accountants with significant insurance (Lloyd’s) experience, have a strong understanding of the insurance regulatory environment in the UK and Europe, strong presentational skills and be very analytically minded.
