Motor Claims Controller / Manager
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Excellent Benefits
Location: Gloucestershire
We are currently looking for a Motor Claims Controller on behalf of one of the fastest growing Insurer’s in today’s market. The successful applicant will be fundamental in the control and administration of key operations within the Claims Department, spearheading the teams drive towards excellence in overall claims management and customer service.
Responsibilities
Support and develop team leaders to ensure that they are getting the best out of their team members
Control the operation of a designated area ensuring the output protects claims costs and acts to achieve and enhance departmental key performance indicators
Maintain an appropriate working environment in which staff can provide a quality service to all internal and external customers, promoting the effective use of ‘Claims Guiding Principles’:
Responsible for recruitment, discipline and training of all staff in the team
Provide effective internal and external communications and to provide timely feedback to the Head of Department on success and failure
Contribute to the planning and delivery of the Claims Strategy
Ensure that fair treatment of customers is at the heart of the claims operation, ensuring that effective analysis, training and monitoring is in place
Consistently strive to improve working methods
Skills
Full understanding of policy covers and claims processes and procedures
Proven leadership skills and experience of team management including performance management, training and development within a Claims Environment
Ability to influence people and communicate effectively at all levels
Effective project management, planning and organisation skills
A high level of numeric ability to deal with budget and workflow volumes
ACII Qualified or progression towards this qualification would be beneficial
