Commercial/ Agricultural Underwriter

A new vacancy has arisen for a Commercial/Agricultural Underwriter within this insurance company in North Yorkshire. The role will involve being responsible for a panel of intermediaries, dealing with enquiries by telephone, correspondence and in person, providing quotations for all commercial classes of insurance in respect of new business and fully servicing existing accounts. Undertaking renewal reviews and applying terms as necessary. Instructing surveyors on larger and more complex risks.

It is essential when applying for this position that you have good agricultural/commercial insurance underwriting experience together with a good understanding of FSA rules. You must have excellent negotiation, communication and team working skills. Progression towards relevant insurance qualifications would be an advantage.
