Excellent opportunity for a Property biased Claims Manager who can offer technical guidance and mentoring to a team of claims technicians. This will be a lead technical referral point for the unit and will ensure the effective and prompt settlement of the Unit's most complex property claims. In addition the successful candidate will be working closely with key customers and business stakeholders to drive a world class customer service. Responsibilities will include reviewing complex claims, proactively finalising claims, investigating and negotiating claims settlement within authority limits and advising/coaching the Claims Controller Technician so that they can support their claims handling teams as well as other team members. The role will involve contributing to a high level of technical output from the team, undertaking technical CQRs for Claims Controller Technical Handlers, acting as a focal liaison point between the business and the Property Claims Unit and developing technical skill both internally and externally.
Candidates must have experience of working within a technical claims environment to a senior level plus team management skills, relevant business/industry qualifications and an in-depth knowledge of products and services, in particular commercial property. Looking for a strong understanding of regulations, legislation and legal liability and an in-depth knowledge of market, risk, business awareness and business issues.
