Our Client is one of the UK's leading Insurance specialists and through continued expansion is currently seeking a Group Compliance Manager to join their Compliance team. This is a brilliant opportunity to advance your career with in well established company. Reporting to Head of Group Compliance the successful Candidate will manage the Compliance and Risk activities within our client’s insurance group. They will be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of effective best practices which promote a commitment to compliance with high standards and any other relevant regulatory requirements.


Responsibilities


This role is to facilitate the continual management regulatory obligations of the client’s values identifying and addressing key areas of weakness in a pro-active forward facing manner
Responsible for ensuring that the Head of Group Compliance together with other senior management are fully aware of the risks to which their operation is exposed
Provide training and information directly to business areas in regards to compliance with relevant regulations


Skills


A sound understanding of procedural requirements, internal control standards, external legal and regulatory requirements and the ability to use this knowledge to identify and mitigate the compliance risks facing the business
Proven experience within a regulatory environment
Professional Qualifications would be beneficial
Previous experience of implementing new procedures and regulations
A good understanding of the General Insurance and Insurance Broking market
Strong Communication skills at all levels with leadership and People-Management skills
