SME Broker
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000
Location: Plymouth
Our client is a leading Insurance Brokerage with strong regional presence throughout the South West, and is currently seeking 2 experienced SME Account Handlers/Brokers who can assist in setting up a new Small Business Unit. This is a new and challenging role whereby you will be developing your own client portfolio, and will be given the autonomy to run your own marketing campaigns as a means to increase new business, with full support of the company.
Responsibilities
Liaise with the internal telemarketing unit to identify and target SME businesses within the local area
Proactively seek new business opportunities and maintain solid relationships with any existing customers
Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with insurers and Underwriters
Preparation of renewal reports and new business quotations
Deal with a broad range of Commercial Insurance Policies across the SME Sector
Develop and maintain positive ongoing relationships with insurers and underwriters
Process Mid Term Adjustments to insurers following notification from clients
Skills
Experience within Insurance Broking with a good understanding of Commercial Insurance
Good sales, negotiation and account management experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive and self motivated
