Commercial Underwriter
Location: Bristol
Salary: £20,000 - £30,000
A Senior Schemes Underwriter is sought with cross class capability, to underwrite complex, profitable, new and existing cases.
You will also be required to undertake an audit and referral role on delegated authority schemes.
Duties & Responsibilities
To underwrite complex scheme business and prepare policy documentation
Update and maintain Protect records and all standalone data registers
Audit business underwritten under delegated authority schemes
Act as referral point on delegated authority schemes
Understand, analyse and evaluate specified portfolios and recommend actions to maintain/improve current results
Review and maintain scheme underwriting guides and assist in review and development of new wordings
Accurate maintenance of off-system databases and general office administration
Liaising with Brokers and internal staff to solve arising queries
Liaising with outsourced service providers
Skills:
You should be a good communicator, negotiator and relationship builder
High accuracy and integrity of underwriting files and data recording
Experience in handling feedback from internal and external clients
