Financial Accountants

Duties and Responsibilities:
? Responsible for implementing and maintaining effective controls over the financial reporting of the group, subsidiary companies and limited liability partnerships
? Focus will be on the preparation of the full deconsolidation of the group results both now and at year end, and on being a key part of the financial accounting team as it prepares for works with the external auditors and delivers to timetable the full group and subsidiary statutory accounts
? A vital component of the role will be the ability to identify and recommend improvements to the financial accounting processes undertaken and work on ad hoc projects
Skills:
? To apply to this position you need to have a degree and be ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified with at least 1 year?s post qualification experience
? Experience should have been gained within a private accountancy practice, though individuals with a background in other commercial sectors will also be considered
? Applicants must have a good level of understanding of UK GAAP, producing accounts and auditing
? A good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred, and the ability to apply technical accounting knowledge to practical situations and identify effective and commercial solutions is also important
? Candidates should have the ability to communicate orally and in writing to a high level with both finance staff at all levels and external advisors, and be able to manage their own workload and bring a pro-active problem solving approach to the business
