Commercial Finance Analyst
Location: Bristol
Salary £35,000 - £40,000 Plus Benefits
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a leading company as a Commercial Finance Analyst. This is a senior level role responsible for controlling, analysing, investigating and reviewing all financial and budgetary activity relating to a range of key supplier contracts
Duties and Responsibilities:
? Provide periodic management accounts, management information and investment appraisals relating to both revenue and capital
? Responsible for identifying potential risks, cost saving opportunities, billing issues, and service level improvements, together with providing comprehensive analysis on how spend in these areas impacts on the corporate business plan
? Responsible for accounts in the area of IT and telecommunications, specifically pertaining to our suppliers of IT outsourcing services, IT helpdesk, backup and recovery, technical project management, IT hardware and software including software licensing, fixed line and mobile telecoms hardware, voice and data networks, and telecoms contracts
Skills:
? University level education coupled with a postgraduate accounting qualification such as ACA, CIMA or ACCA
? Applicants are fully qualified, as part-qualified individuals will not be deemed to have sufficient experience
? Several years experience of management accounting, ideally with supplementary knowledge of statutory accounting
? Experience can have been gained in any commercial environment, though candidates who have gained it within the finance department of a larger business will be considered more suitable than those who have worked in private practice
? Retail sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential
? Experience of management accounting relating to external supplier contracts or outsource partners will be strongly preferred, and though this is not essential candidates should be able to demonstrate that they have the necessary skills to develop strong working relationships with outside contacts of this nature
? Experience of the IT or telecommunications sectors would be useful but again is not vital
? Applicants are able to quickly become familiar with the technical and often jargon-heavy nature of the work that suppliers do
? Candidates should have significant commercial, communication and interpersonal skills
? The ability to think conceptually and apply the results of their financial analysis to the broader commercial picture, and understand how the financial data links to, and impacts upon, our corporate business drivers
