Commercial Underwriter
Location: Cardiff
Salary: £20,000 - £30,000
A highly successful organisation has a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Underwriter to join their Business Development Team. You will be required to deal with new business quotations in respect of all commercial products. Our client provides excellent scope for personal development and key involvement in product innovation.
Responsibilities:
Liaise and deal with enquiries passed to you from the sales team
You will be required to deal with clients needs when these fall outside of the insurer schemes
Where required handle additional negotiations to secure the business and meet the clients needs
Involved in negotiating new business and or renewal terms, conditions and premiums
You will be reviewing frequency and nature of claims submitted and discussing points of referral with insurers
Skills:
You will have excellent interpersonal, underwriting and negotiation skill
Ability to build strong relationships with insurance companies
Previous Commercial Underwriting or Broker experience is required for this role
A high level of computer literacy and communication skills, which will maximise the potential of the business unit and drive the business forward
