Casualty Underwriter - Construction SME
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £26,000 - £35,000
This is an excellent opportunity to join a Casualty Underwriting team. Your role will be to provide first-class Underwriting and Service to brokers to maximise new business and retention opportunities and contribute to the development of a new and exciting parts of the business.
The successful individual will also have responsibility for colleague development through performance coaching
Responsibilities:
Underwriting and negotiation of Casualty business within the Construction SME environment
Assist in the development and implementation of the teams technical standards, controls, practices and procedures
Develop excellent internal and external relationships
Skills:
Strong Commercial Casualty Underwriting experience
Knowledge of Commercial Property Underwriting will be beneficial but not essential
A Levels or equivalent
Computer literate
Achievement or progress towards CII qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential
Excellent problem solving, decision making and judgement skills
