The Job/Duties
Working as a Financial Planning Adviser, you will be responsible for the delivery of a range of financial planning support to internal and external customers, applying specialist technical expertise in Tax & Trusts so that sales opportunities are maximised, and risks are managed.
Key responsibilities will include: -
Acting as the company's key point of reference in assigned area of specialist financial planning expertise.
Analysing and interpreting legislation, regulatory, budget, tax and product information to form a definitive technical view, ensuring that it is communicated fully to the relevant business areas.
Proactively identifying and delivering sales and marketing opportunities, technical services applications and supporting them by producing articles and materials; promoting them to internal and external customers.
Resolving complex telephone and written enquiries and complaints referred by sales colleagues and IFAs and providing technical input and sign off to product developments, including literature and marketing material as a subject matter expert.
Maintaining a good understanding of the financial services market, any developments within it identifying the implications for the company and its customers.
Coaching and developing sales specialist colleagues to improve their effectiveness in role, supporting the sales process to simplify complex financial planning issues, providing focussed solutions.
The Benefits
This opportunity offers a generous basic salary of up to £37,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

The Person
High level technical expertise & knowledge of financial planning matter in trusts and taxation.
Excellent understanding of the regulatory environment within which the team operates.
Ability to assimilate broad technical knowledge and formulate a definitive view.
Conceptual and analytical thinking skills, solving complex financial planning problems.
Applying technical knowledge to enhance effective selling opportunities.
Acquire comprehensive knowledge of company’s product range.
Ability to work on own initiative to solve complex problems and make decisions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build strong business relationships with key colleagues and customers where required.
Professional Qualifications Required:
Financial Planning Certificate 1 2 & 3 (or equivalent qualifications) essential.
A minimum of MSFA, with attainment of Chartered status or equivalent within 2 years.
