Lead Claims Investigator (Office Based)
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
Location: Bristol
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Investigator to join one of the UK leading Insurers within their newly formed Claims Investigation Desktop Team.
You will be required to undertake desk based motor liability investigations on claims received within agreed criteria. As "lead" investigator within the unit you will also be required to supervise, allocate work and maintain high customer service, quality, productivity and technical standards.
Responsibilities:
Investigate motor liability claims across all portfolios of motor business underwritten
Obtain evidence to support conclusions reached following investigations
Report findings in a predefined manner to satisfy customer needs
Gather evidence assisting claims handling centres in correctly reserving and settling claims on the correct basis
Make cost effective and quality decisions based on assessment of information / evidence obtained in the investigation process
Record and log management information to support work flow and to own reporting for the unit across all team members
Skills:
Good working knowledge of all motor products and processes
Good claims knowledge on motor including Personal Injury
Good communication skills
Understanding of the Civil procedural rules and how these impact on evidence and service levels set
Knowledge of Civil Law
Exposure to handling technical PI claims essential
Knowledge of policy wordings of all motor business products
Previous exposure to undertaking field/desktop investigations required
ACII or equivalent - Qualified or progress towards would be beneficial
