Job Purpose:
The role holder will lead the development and delivery of technical elements to support propositions in either the Tax & Trust or Pensions market, and will have an external presence in the Financial Planning Market created out of speaking at Industry and Key IFA conferences as well as via the financial press, supporting the distribution channels to enhance the reputation of our Client as an "expert friend".
Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
Proactively identify and create sales and marketing opportunities which drive the business objectives for our Client FS.
To build and deliver business development workshops on financial planning matters to internal and external customers.
To be the subject matter expert for your core market within the company acting as the key reference point externally.
To work with colleagues within Products & Marketing to devise, plan, manage and deliver propositions market.
To understand and support the Sales distribution process by influencing and building effective relationships with senior sales managers.
To manage the team to provide input and technical sign off for all product developments, product literature and marketing material.
To promote, manage and deliver a valued helpline service to internal and external customers.
To maintain the teams technical knowledge to be at the 'leading edge' of understanding within their chosen disciplines
Knowledge & Skills:
Professionally qualified in 2 or more areas e.g. ATT, PMI, APFS
In depth knowledge of financial planning matters and an expert technical knowledge on one area, Tax & Trusts or Pensions.
Thorough knowledge of the regulatory environment, together with practical experience of the financial services market.
Ability to represent the company FS in a range of situations and learning environments (for example dealing with the legal and accountancy professions) and speaking at industry and key conferences, and writing relevant articles in the quality financial press.
An ability to assimilate, analyse, probe and evaluate a wide range of data provided by internal and external customers.
Excellent presentation skills when addressing either small or large audiences.
Ability to build strong business relationships internally and externally.
