Commercial Underwriter
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 Benefits
An excellent Commercial Underwriter opportunity has arisen within one of the UK's leading insurance companies. Your role will be to underwrite commercial risks achieving profitable growth in line with company and branch objectives. Our Client provides excellent benefits and actively supports personal development.
Responsibilities:
Underwrite new and existing business profitability, accurately and in line with established Underwriting practice
Maintain and develop business relationships with intermediaries
Actively encourage generation of profitable new business
Assist and coach colleagues with technical and procedural aspects of underwriting, as required
Skills:
Experience within a Commercial Underwriting environment is required
Previous working knowledge within a commercial insurance environment
Excellent Communication and Negotiation skills
Technical product knowledge
Computer Literate
