About the Role:
Deal with New Business enquiries, renewal and mid-term adjustments by producing terms and converting/retaining acceptable business.
Enhancing the company’s standing and presence locally by establishing and maintaining strong personal relationships with key directors and staff at the Region’s most important brokers.
Maintain personal knowledge of relevant technical issues.
Undertake referral cases above the authority levels.
Contribute to the technical knowledge of the Company by feeding back technical and commercial market intelligence to the team.
Work collaboratively with other parts of the organisation, especially the claims and survey teams, when required.
Key Skills/Experience Required:
The successful applicant will already have gained experience of underwriting commercial business in a company environment.
You will have the ability to establish and develop high-level business relationships and be confident in your own ability.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential.
Professional Qualifications Required:
ACII qualification or significant progression towards would be an advantage, however a willingness to achieve professional standing is important
Salary/Benefits Information:
Up to £50,000 plus an exceptional benefits package.
