Location: Birmingham
Salary: £27,000 - £37,000
This is an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Underwriter to join one of the top Insurance organisations in the UK within their Commercial department. Your role is to Underwrite Commercial risks from a designated panel of intermediaries within agreed authority levels.
Responsibilities:
To Look for opportunities to develop the account and grow profitability with key brokers
Effectively relationship manage your panel of Brokers in close liaison with the account manager
Develop a profitable panel of brokers for New Business
Identify potential new business opportunities
Involvement in preparation of annual business plan
Involvement in managing intermediary relationships
Involvement in agreeing annual business plan with intermediaries
Conduct broker visits
Skills:
Progress towards ACII would be beneficial
Thorough understanding of general insurance products
Good sales & negotiation skills
Good interpersonal skills with potential to represent & promote the business.
Proven successful track record of profitable business development
Experience of Commercial Insurance is essential for this role
