The Job/Duties
The role encompasses a range of responsibilities relating to the management of a portfolio of commercial clients and assisting with the generation of new business.
Working closely with the Account Directors you will also have the opportunity to visit high profile clients to promote the services of the company.
Build a general knowledge of designated clients, their industry and business operations.
Ensure that a working knowledge is maintained of each client's insurance history and their insurance policies in force.
Assist account directors/executives with "pre-underwriting" technical risk analysis, ensuring a working technical knowledge of policy coverage, clauses and exclusions.
Provide information and prepare risk presentations to designated carriers/markets and to clients.
Assist in the promotion of positive sales development of designated clients including cross selling activities.
Provide full service delivery to all clients ensuring that service standards are at the highest level.
Produce and progress policy documentation for cases which have been agreed to ensure timely and accurate file management.
Assist customers in initial reporting and subsequent negotiation with insurers of a satisfactory settlement of claims, as required.
Comply strictly with all Company procedures including Health and Safety requirements.
Attend any training courses, presentations or other procedures as required by the Company, to increase product knowledge and maintain competency to fulfil the role.

The Person
Experience of handling portfolios of general commercial business in either a broking or underwriting environment.
