Commercial Underwriter
Location: Gloucestershire
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
We are currently recruiting for one of largest Commercial teams within the South West. You will be required to make day to day decisions regarding the acceptance and rating of risks (including some large and complex business) within underwriting authority.
Responsibilities:
To deal with and make decisions on new business quotations, mid term adjustments and renewals by using judgement within agreed Personal Underwriting Authority limits
To ensure smooth and prompt flow of business through the system to agreed service standards and processes
Act as a referral point to less experienced staff
Skills:
Commercial underwriting experience in the broker market
Proven experience of either being accountable for, or contributing to, profitable underwriting performance
Negotiation and sales skills
Preferably ACII qualified or working towards
