EDI Technician - West Sussex - up to £26,000 plus benefits
Contribute to the department in delivering the Service Operations business plan to meet business growth targets. Contribute to the monitoring and reporting of performance and progress against the plan. Key Responsibilities
Contribute to and work within the parameters of the agreed business plan for Service Operations
Contribute to and work within agreed processes in order to deliver the business plan in line with the Service Operations policy
Motivate and deliver against agreed objectives, KPIs and SLAs in order to carry out responsibilities and meet agreed service and performance targets
Maintain knowledge in specialist area to improve understanding of technical issues
Investigate, log and communicate all errors
Liaise with software houses and brokers in respect of system queries and set up.
Assist with testing and signing off rates for new developments
Correcting and loading EDI messages where necessary
Regular checking of third party Software systems to ensure accuracy of rating, including visits to software houses.
Liaising with EDI Development team
Building relationships with both internal and external customers
Adhere to FSA, TCF and Data Protection Regulations
Key Skills and Knowledge
Have a general understanding and be able to interpret policy wordings
Is able to understand brokers own policy wordings in Terms/Conditions
Has a good awareness of reason for rate changes and fully understands the implication of the changes.
Is fully competent in dealing with queries from other departments and software houses
Can understand and interpret information
Has an excellent knowledge of all external quote systems.
Willingness to develop self and new skills
