Senior Systems Business Analyst
Location: Gloucestershire
Salary: £22,000 - £30,000
This is an exceptional opportunity for some one with a good understanding of Commercial Insurance to join one of the top Insurance Companies in the UK. The role of the Senior Business Analyst is to design and maintain external rating and underwriting systems.
To review and maintain and manage internal rating tables.
Understand and be able to provide cover for the Systems Business Analyst role.
Support the role of the Assistant Systems Technician.
Responsibilities:
Design and build instructions, rating and document specifications, for both new and amendments to, third party systems to accurately reflect current ratings
Carry out Under System Controllers Instruction and Supervision tests and recommend approval of systems development and changes to meet laid down deadlines
Under System Controllers Instruction and Supervision co-ordinate, testing of new and amendments to existing commercial products on third party systems (often at third party premises) and recommendation of approval sign off to Systems Controller
Understand and provide cover, and where required coaching, for the roles of Systems Business Analyst and Commercial Assistant Systems Technician
Essential to the success of commercial development is a combination of the cost effective handling of business and a service standard, which is at the top end of the market
Skills:
In depth understanding of Commercial system product rating structures with ability to maintain and manage the rate tables for exact accuracy
GCSE / O levels Including Mathematics and English or equivalent
A levels or equivalent qualification would be beneficial
Completed Certificate of Insurance Practice preferred
Computer Literate
Demonstrable good communication skills for negotiation and technical assistance
