Protection Pricing Actuary Life & Health South West

Reporting to the Protection Pricing Actuary, you will be responsible for the provision of financial investigations required for the development and maintenance of all new and existing individual and group protection products. You will also have responsibility for pricing products and recommending pricing strategy in order to support the achievement of the stated business objectives in terms of new business premium, market share, VNB and capital efficiency. You will give support in providing bespoke terms for new and reviewing existing distributors deals. To provide financial consultancy to the protection proposition. To ensure protection management understand the financial impact of decisions taken and be a key stakeholder in those decisions. You will have a minimum 5 years experience in actuarial-related jobs, including product development, a broad experience and knowledge of total company operations, particularly the needs of the various distribution channels and ideally 3 years experience of managing and motivating staff.
