Chief Actuary Life & Health Ireland

Our client is seeking an experienced life actuary to fill this important senior management position. The Chief Actuary will report to the Chief Executive. The person appointed will have the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of the development of variable annuity products for the European market. The Appointed Actuary role is outsourced and it is intended that this structure will be maintained. The Chief Actuary will work closely with the Appointed Actuary.Key Responsibilities:• The establishment of an internal actuarial function • Development of variable annuity products • Capital modelling & optimisation, particularly in the context of the developing Irish and EU solvency regimes • Development and pricing of new products• Liaising with the external Appointed Actuary• Liaising with the Financial Controller on reportingSuit an experienced Life Actuary with a minimum of 5 years' PQE.
