International Reserving Manager South East

This role is based in the Group head office of a global general insurer. Your role as the Reserving Manager will enable you to:

• Contribute to the development of Group policy on reserving, researching and recommending policy in line with business needs, best practice standards and relevant regulatory requirements
• Develop and agree with the Group Chief Actuary, standard global reserving processes and documentation standards that will provide a clear and transparent audit trail demonstrating the rationale for reserving decisions
• Work with regional businesses to gain understanding of local issues and reserving practice, ensuring these are taken into consideration when developing Group policy on reserving
• Produce reserving estimates for central reinsurance business
• Work with the Capital Management Actuary, to define reserving elements of capital management models, ensuring any links are clear and understood in order to better inform both processes
• Investigate and monitor the reserving market, promoting appropriate new methods and ideas for reserving practices
