Liability and Contract Works Technical Underwriter
Location: Gloucestershire
Salary: £38,000 - £50,000
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Liability Underwriter to join one of the UK top Insurance Companies.

The role is a point of maximum technical expertise and capability both internally and externally, and must operate at the sharp end of a continuous atmosphere of competition to deliver objectives
This requires that the individual can handle both the technical assessment, account management and underwriting of risk at the highest level, have the techniques of successful negotiation and relationship building and the ability to be involved in project management and high level decision making
Responsibilities:
Support the profitable growth of the Liability and Contract Works classes of business through monitoring, review and action
Achieve the balance of account growth by meeting new business, renewal pricing and account quality objectives
Develop, draft and maintain all existing and new policy wordings used for the Liability and Contract Works ensuring they are accurate and technically effective
Researching new areas of risk and cover to develop new covers
Participate in account, portfolio and proposition price reviews
Assess the Commercial Pricing and Management teams
Skills:
Excellent organisational, interpersonal and relationship buildings skills
Liaison with senior management team members in all areas of the business
Numerical proficiency sufficient to deal with account analysis, pricing reviews, expense evaluation and underwriting
Have in depth underwriting experience in all liability and contract works classes of insurance
The ability to assess technical risk and make decisions at the highest level
ACII or progression towards would be beneficial
