Assistant European Accountant

A global insurance and reinsurance company with a passion for providing innovative risk solutions is recruiting to fill the position of Assistant European Accountant.
Working within the European Finance department based in London you will work with the Senior Accountant to produce quarterly US GAAP results and prepare detailed commentary thereon, assist in specific Country Management goals by providing financial information and commentary as requested, prepare the accrual for monthly and quarterly expenses, prepare quarterly expense commentaries meeting US GAAP requirements and for discussion with Country CFO’s, perform control and review actions on the ledgers, bank reconciliation review, assist in providing analysis and information required by the FSA team and assist in new and ongoing projects as required.
Applicants will ideally be degree educated and studying towards a professional accountancy qualification, possess good analytical skills and have knowledge of large general ledger systems. Experience of the insurance or finance industry would be beneficial.
