Paralegal – Clinical Negligence
Location: Exeter
Salary: £18,000 - £22,000
Due to the progressive nature of our clients practice they are now seeking a Paralegal to join their Clinical Negligence Team, which has one of the top reputations within the UK. We are seeking an individual who has a medical or nursing background together with experience of dealing with clinical negligence and personal injury litigation
This is an excellent opportunity with the potential for the right candidate to build up their own caseload.
Responsibilities:
Taking new enquiries from prospective clients
Giving initial advice
Maintaining and developing database of new enquiries
Liaising with fee earners in the team
Assisting in preparation of cases including taking statements and analysing medical records to prepare detailed chronologies
Research into medical and legal issues
Skills:
An understanding of the high standards of client care required for existing and potential clients
Ability to work within and assist other members of the team
Excellent communication skills with client’s colleagues and other professionals
Excellent organisational and time management skills including an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Good IT skills
