About the Role:

Our Client is seeking a Sales Consultant to sell Protection Products and services over the phone to a panel of IFA’s, working where appropriate with field based consultants. The successful candidate will be required to develop relationships with customers by understanding their needs and helping them develop their business. Additional responsibilities will include: -

 Developing, agreeing and implementing a personal business plan for designated accounts, consistent with area objectives, in order to deliver agreed targets.
 Developing protection sales through collaborative working with key internal Protection Distribution Channel stakeholders.
 Delivering and documenting sales activity in line with agreed business plans.
 Identifying the support required to deliver agreed targets.
 Applying market knowledge and commercial acumen to identify and focus activity on contacts which deliver high volumes and value to the company.
 Actively promoting the companies products by demonstrating benefits to the IFA.
 Monitoring customer satisfaction, analysing results and ensuring that conclusions are fed back into the account planning and management process.
 Applying knowledge of the IFA marketplace and commercial acumen to create viable but innovative solutions for the IFA and assisting them to grow their business.
 Taking personal responsibility for resolving customer service problems.
 Identifying and building relationships with key Registered Individuals within designated IFAs.
 Identifying and acting on opportunities for cross-selling.

Benefits:

This opportunity offers a generous basic salary and OTE circa £30,000 + per annum.

The Person:

 Strong sales skills/experience and a track record of delivering sales targets.
 A strong technical background in Protection business.
 Current knowledge of desired IFA market and competitor activity.
 Strong planning and organisational skills.
 Strong communication and influencing skills.
 Self starting and proactive working attitude.
 Proven relationship development & networking skills.
 Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements within a sales environment.
 Computer literate.

Professional Qualifications:

Financial Planning Certificate 1, 2 and 3 or equivalent, desirable but not essential.
