Compliance Director

Job Purpose: 
Communicate regulatory requirement to the board and senior management and provide advice and guidance as required
Work with senior management to ensure that the business implements and maintains suitable systems and controls
To support the growth of the company and increase the levels of compliant profitable/solutions sales to clients which are transacted through the regulated firm
Identify and help manage and mitigate any regulatory risks
Manage compliance staff, including performance appraisals and training and development

Key Responsibilities: 
Ensure that the firm's compliance records (e.g. complaints record, new business register, financial promotion record) is kept up to date at all times.
Ensure the firm can respond to requests from the FSA and ensure the relevant notifications are communicated to the FSA.
Ensure that all company requirements are met and review regularly.
Ensure appropriate ethical standards exist within the firm.
Ensure knowledge of the necessary regulatory requirements are kept up to date.
Ensure the firm continues to meet its threshold conditions (COND) .  
Produce an annual compliance report for the Board and senior management.
Manage relationship with FSA to ensure requirements of Principle 11 are continually met.
Comply with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, the FSA Statements of Principle & Code of Practice and the relevant FSA rules at all times.
Comply with the relevant Compliance, T&C and Anti-Money Laundering Procedures of the firm at all times.
