Assistant Underwriter

An overview of the role:
You'll use your communication skills to deal with a wide range of customer service duties including providing quotations and documentation; the contribution to the growth of sales and conversions and the development of relationships with colleagues and internal and external customers and clients.

 
Other key responsibilities:
As well as customer service, you will provide technical assistance and guidance in accordance and within your own underwriting authority and refer all cases above your level with recommendations to colleagues.
 
The aim of the department is to deliver the highest standard of customer service whilst treating the customer fairly.

 
The skills and experience you'll need:
You'll need to have excellent communication skills; be a team player who is self motivated; have good organisational and analytical abilities and be able to work within a flexible environment. Experience within an Insurance industry is preferred but not essential.
